Cluster of Earthquakes Felt in San Francisco Area This Weekend

Two more small earthquakes shook the East Bay late Saturday and early Sunday within an hour of each other. They add to four other small earthquakes registered in the area Saturday.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a magnitude 1.5 quake struck at about 11:50 p.m. Saturday, followed by a 1.9 temblor at 12:25 a.m. this morning.
The jolts were centered in unincorporated Contra Costa County about 5 miles west of Danville and 3 miles south-southwest of Alamo. Despite being minor, they were reportedly felt by Danville residents.
Earlier Saturday, a magnitude 2.2 earthquake reportedly struck at 6:58 a.m. about 5 miles west of Danville. The USGS also recorded a magnitude 2.3 earthquake at 1:42 p.m., a 2.5 quake at 3:25 p.m. and a 1.5 quake at 7:53 p.m., all with epicenters within 8 miles of Danville.
