The Biblical Grain Famine
HOLLY NOTE: We have posted articles continuously for the past year detailing depletion of US and global grain reserves to record lows, grain thefts in Kansas, food shortages, rising food prices and resulting food riots, in hopes that you are getting this message: As tough as it might be right now, this is definitely the time to purchase significant food stocks. If you have missed any of these articles, please check the Food & Water ARKives for 2008 and 2007. This issue is too vital for you not to get the entire picture.
The Midwest is at the heart of our wheat and corn production. All it will take is one bad drought - which Iowa expects. For the past 6 months North Dakota is in the worst drought ever - and now possibly a global drought - and our food supplies will take a serious hit. Extreme flooding like the Midwest and Mississippi just experienced are wiping out food crops. With escalating fuel costs, there will come a point when truckers are unable to make a living and simply have to shut down.
Daily news address rampant concerns over rice, wheat, corn and soybean shortages. And now food rationing and hoarding is creeping into reality...
Riots and food protests have already hit many nations: South Africa, Pakistan, Lebanon, Gaza, Kenya, Nicaragua, Mexico, Bahrain, the Emirates, Italy, Russia, Indonesia, Egypt in addition to Haiti, Cameroon, Senegal, the Ivory Coast, Mauritania, Bolivia, Peru, Thailand, Somali, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Uzbekistan, Yemen, India, and the Philippines. After the Mexican tortillas riots 6 months ago, corn tortillas are going up another 18%.
With food shortages threatening to become the biggest crisis of the 21st century, you can bet food riots are coming to America.
Stock up now - buy in bulk - and pack for long-term storage any grain products and foods you regularly consume. It's easy, it's great insurance and will save you loads of money in the long run. The longer you delay, prices are only going to escalate, your options will dwindle, along with selection. Please do this before your options close.
When reading news articles, it is our hope you'll read beyond the headlines and hear the unspoken message - a quiet urging to prepare.

We must also prophesy (from our interpretations, not by inspiration), with urgency, that: We are in a worldwide grain famine. The third horseman of the apocalypse has finally got out of the starting gate.
Image: When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" Revelation 6:5
The world has effectively run out of exportable Wheat. The USDA is not being fed correct data by the US wheat exporters who are not reporting all their export sales on time. The true US wheat ending stocks will be less than the 6.5 Million Metric Tons presently being published. The US millers asked the US government to ban exports. The US government quite correctly said no. So the US millers made their own ban by rationing exports themselves and under reporting their rationed exports. The figures are being fixed to hide the true extent of the disaster and to prevent the wheat market from doing its job of matching supply to demand through price. Winnipeg ran out of animal feed wheat in March. There is no more feed wheat! That cannot happen unless as market fails to do its job. Because it did happen, the world could also run out of human food wheat. The problem here is not greedy speculators and testosterone as the political correct left-wingers would have us believe, it is the normal problem. Public sector negligence and corporate greed from the large wheat milling outfits. Wheat has been to cheap for the past 7 years, that is why we have run out.
Notice the unprecedented fall off in stocks in the last 7 years since June 1, 2001, from a healthy 103 days of grain to a dangerous 57 days in May 2007. Sure we have been there before and we recovered from what was a cyclical phenomenon in 1974. But Global Warming, Eastern Industrialization and Biofuel are not cyclical phenomena. When the 3rd horseman of the apocalypse starts riding, he does not stop for a tea break!
Meantime we have the normal, everything is fine, just look at those lush green ears of wheat dancing in the breeze in Kansas, optimistic palliative prediction from the USDA. The Minneapolis Grain Exchange www.mgex.com has pretty much run out of Durum wheat ($21.20 as of February 14, 2008) and of Spring Wheat ($18.25 as of February 14, 2008). Chicago March 2008 Wheat is only $9.18 (February 14, 2008, as compared to its normal $3.20). There is a lot of milling money keeping wheat low in Chicago. The USDA presently predict that the US will only sell 90,000 tons of wheat per week in the final 17 weeks of the agricultural wheat year from June 1 to June 1. But historically they have sold on average 400,000 tons per week during this period (as they have done for the last three weeks ending January 11 and January 18 and January 25). So the USDA is in on the act like all government statistics departments. They are hiding a famine of biblical proportions. Millions will die of hunger as a result. The food subsidies of the US and the EU have massively exacerbated this problem caused actually by global warming. They have stopped 3rd world farmers growing the staples that the west mechanically farms. But hey mankind is to blame for nothing is he? It is all caused by solar flares right?
As of January 2008, the US had sold 103% of the annual USDA projection for Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat, with 26 weeks left in its marketing year. And overall the US has 9 million tons left for export and ending stocks and they are selling at 400,000-500,000 tons per week with 18 weeks left in the national wheat marketing year. Do the math! Truly the world has never had less wheat and it is not much better off in rice, the other main starch staple, presently at $15.17 (Feb. 1) rather than its normal $4.50. And things will only get worse. Here are the 4 main reasons.
Global warming causes droughts and floods. It produces harsher more extreme weather, and extensive farming is one of its first casualties. This will have a greater and greater negative effect on world food stocks since no proposal made by any government will make us carbon neutral at any time in the next 20 years.
Biofuel. This is a disastrous idea. There will not be enough grain for food, let alone fuel. We will have green wellied Henriettas driving their green Biofuel Range Rovers whilst children in the third world starve for the want of the grain used up by such vehicles.
The Industrialization of 2.5 billion Chinese and Indians - woops! When hundreds of millions of people in Asia turn in their straw hats for their baseball caps, when they stop eating vegetables and start eating hamburgers and stakes, when they replace two scrawny oxen with a Mercedes 260 CE we will have big problems all over the world. Meat eaters consume 500% more grain than vegetarians. And agricultural workers do not drive a Mercedes.
EU and US farm subsidies which make it uneconomic for non western countries to grow food to sell.
The corruption of the Chicago and Kansas wheat markets by the millers and the under-reporting of US wheat export sales by the exporters and the history of absurdly optimistic projections for the next years crops by the IGC and Informa etc., have kept the price of wheat way too low for way to long. On 2008 May1, with Minneapolis and Kansas having almost no wheat, and the true US year end wheat stocks being at an all time low, the price of wheat in Chicago is $8 per bushel which is less in real terms than it was 20 years ago. Yes, farmers worldwide have been stuffed for 20 years and today with almost no wheat left and with most countries banning wheat exports, guess what? They are being stuffed again by the millers. These people care nothing for the food security of mankind. They care only for their own financial security. They do not understand that the one is meaningless in the absence of the other. They do not know that their brother's security is their security. They will indeed reap the results of preventing enough farmers from sowing. They will reap famine, war and death, from the last 3 horsemen of the apocalypse!
These 5 factors must ensure that we run out of grain at an accelerating rate. We need to plan for that now! We do not want to be planning for a famine on an empty stomach!
The 2007 Australian crop which is normally around 22-25 Million Tons, came in at supposedly 12 MT. And Russia has now put a 40% export tariff on wheat. Australia used to be the world's second largest wheat exporter.
Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Revelation 1:3
