(Millington, TN 5/25/2010) Highway 51 is back open, but several hundred people are still evacuated after a leak at a plant on Fite Road.

The Shelby County Fire Department responded to a chemical leak at Lucite International just after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Lucite International is beside the DuPont plant.

We're told Sulfur Trioxide vapors escaped from a storage silo located at the Lucite plant.

While Highway 51 in both directions is back open, homes and businesses in that area remain evacuated until samples of air quality can be tested.
