99-Year-Old English WWII Veteran Raises $3.3 Million for Hospital Workers Simply By Walking Laps of His Garden ('garden' in Brit-speak means their 'yard')
Stressed? This Study Says You Simply Need a 20-Minute ‘Nature Pill’ HOLLY NOTE: Getting outside makes all the difference in the world whether you're exercising, doing yard chores, gardening, relaxing with a cup of coffee or going for a drive. Very close to our property is 360 acres of undeveloped land owned by the residents where we hike the dogs. With only about 29,000 residents here in Pueblo West, we seldom run into anyone on that land and if we do see someone, they're literally acres away. Since Colorado enjoys 300 days of sunshine, it does wonders for the spirit and the doggies to get outside and shake off the lockdown blues. Wherever you are, try to get outside to a park where you won't get arrested even when no one is around. Drive to a forest. Bicycle. Listen to birds call for nesting, work your hands in dirt in your garden, or just inhale the clean air and the quiet away from news and social media. Do something outside to feel God and nature's presence. It will do wonders.

HOLLY NOTE: 15 states now have drive-thru COVID-19 testing centers with more to come, which will hugely speed up diagnoses. Because 80-81% of cases are so mild, many people may have it and don't know. We're going to see case numbers rocket up with additional testing, but be encouraged, as those folks are building immunity.
President Trump and VP Pence are doing a remarkable job considering the magnitude and historic nature of this virus. Stan and I are keeping life fairly normal. Still hiking the dogs and plan to spend more time outside with less socializing. Sunshine not only infuses your body with immune boosting Vitamin D after just 20 minutes exposure, it also lifts the spirits.
Probably the biggest change is going to the grocery store less. Because coronavirus can hang in the air for several hours, people may spread germs to fresh fruits and veggies, and we're not sure how they can be adequately washed. This is especially true of food without skins and have lots of crevices like lettuce, cauliflower and broccoli. As a result, this year we expanded our veggie bed and may plant some extra in containers.
Two weeks ago we mixed up new Super Soil, and planted onions, potatoes and Jerusalem artichokes. Today, sugar snap pea seeds pushed out little tap roots so they, cabbage and lettuces can be planted. This afternoon we'll start tomato, pepper, squash and melon seeds indoors.
I had ordered too many potato and onion sets so we're giving them to neighbors. The more everyone prepares and that means sharing the calmer your neighborhood will be. Normally we wouldn't put in our garden this early, but since Spring is coming early for most of the u.S. and veggies already planted don't mind snow or frosts, we got busy. If you're unsure when to plant, Garden Gold lists first and last frost dates for every county in America and when to plant in relation to that date. It will be essentual healthwise to have your own produce as early as possible. For folks in mobile homes and apartments or patio home, make use of balconies and decks. Everyone can have a LIFE-SAVING, fun garden!

Coast Guard Rescues Overdue Boater 9 Miles Off Florida Coast HOLLY NOTE: I power boated for over 20 years, took safety classes, etc. One of the first rules learned is that you never go out on a large body of water without extra fuel and a VHF marine radio, anticipating the unexpected. You certainly don't go out on the ocean in what amounts to a dinghy. This was not this man's day to die. He should buy a lottery ticket.
