Authorities Warn of Possible Volcanic Eruption on Canary Island of La Palma After 4,200+ Earthquakes Recorded HOLLY NOTE: I warned about the Cumbre Vieja volcano in Prudent Places USA. The danger isn't just to the 80,000 inhabitants of La Palma, but to the entire East Coast of the U.S., which is home to nearly 120 million people.
The volcano doesn't even have to erupt to present unbelievable threats. It just has to rumble strongly enough to slough off part of the mountainside, as it's done before, to create a mega-tsunami. It has the potential to send a 100-ft. wall of water racing across the ocean to smack right into the U.S. coastline and travel 12-1/2 miles inland. This could make for a very bad day.

With devastating drought in Western states, herds of cattle are having to be culled because they have no food and thousands of fruits trees have been ripped out because they drought-died. This historic drought threatens California farms, which supplies much of America's food. It doesn't bode well for America and the rest of the world. Don't Buy the Latest Climate-Change Alarmism HOLLY NOTE: This is the globalists' and Democrats' latest attempt at scaremongering, moving America closer to Socialism, and transferring more wealth and power to them again. "China emits more greenhouse gas than the entire developed world combined," which includes 34 countries, at a whopping 27%.
The U.S. accounts for just 11% and even if America reduced greenhouse gases to zero, it would have no effect due China's #1 polluter status. They've tripled their pollution output since the 1990s. As China strives ever harder to become the world's leader in every aspect, expect that 27% figure to mushroom. ED OF DAY 1

CA Fire Explodes, Threatens Hundreds of Homes
Oregon Wildfire Grows to Size of Los Angeles
Extreme Drought Could Shutter CA Hydroelectric Power Plant HOLLY NOTE: If that happens, watch millions of illegal aliens in California pick up sticks and scamper to a town near you. This is one issue that isn't often discussed. A conservative estimate puts the number of illegal aliens in California alone at 5 million. 'They' used to say that illegal immigration is a victimless crime. People know better.
As President Trump stated, they bring poverty, disease, crime, conflicting mores and values, drugs, a huge drain on our schools, housing, hospitals, medical institutions, infrastructure, environment, food supplies and the often unseen issue, the power grid.
They are a massive drag on taxpayers costing us some $135 billion every year and entitlements. With their lack of education most not above 10th grade at the high end they bring the country down as a whole rather than lift us.
Every year California sees warming temperatures and worsening droughts. Some 40 million Californians (+ illegals) need power for air conditioning, cooking, and everything else, which is producing rolling brownouts and blackouts. Every person throughout the country puts stress on the grid just by daily living.
When the national power grid was built starting 8 decades ago, it was never designed to supply power to so many people. Nationally it is hanging by a hair as it was only designed to last 50 years without replacement, which hasn't been done.
If you doubt its fragility, consider California's blackouts, Hurricane Katrina that knocked out power to some for 6 weeks and Hurricane Sandy that took out electricity for 2 weeks, 2003's cascading grid failure that killed power to 50 million people in the U.S. and Canada that lasted a week, Texans being told in June this year to cut back summer usage and the deadly power outage Texas suffered February this year that killed over 150 people. These are just a few examples.
The more people in an area, the more they drain/strain our fragile power grid. One of these days it's going to break. The situation is so dire as to be labeled a national security concern. Will you be ready?

Drought Monitor HOLLY NOTE: For the last 2 months drought has remained largely unchanged everywhere in the U.S. except the northwest. Conditions have deteriorated significantly in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, which is reflected in some of the brutal fires they're enduring.
One really nice feature offered is the ability to compare any 2 weeks to see if conditions are improving or not. Click Maps in the drop down menu and select Compare Two Weeks, which you look at weekly drought back to Jan. 4, 2000.
The West Under Siege From Wildfires HOLLY NOTE: To see only fires, click off Satellite Fire Detections in Layers. Currently 11 Western states, plus Alaska are suffering from 74 - 77 active large wildfires, depending on the source checked. The worst is Bootleg, just east of Medford, Oregon.

Current Large (at Least 1,000 Acres) Wildfires Burning HOLLY NOTE: For your devices, there is an invaluable tool called MyRadar for Android or iPhone. It's free and we use it several times a day. It provides multiple layers to add. Beside current wind direction, you can monitor in real time in-coming storms, hurricanes, aviation weather, wildfires, weather fronts, besides temps, humidity, wind speed, forecasts, etc. It's super easy to use and you choose what you want to check
Clearly hurricanes aren't an issue here. However, our usually clear blue skies are murky. While several fires in our area didn't make the large map, they are big enough to muck up our skies. You can also fire-watch smaller ones here.
